The Effort is a straight edge hardcore band that formed in 2006, playing a style of music that blends the modern youth crew sound of Boston’s late 1990’s with the social conscious lyrics of artists like Inside Out, 108, and Boy Sets Fire. Check LastFM.
AYS (Against Your Society) is a 5piece band since 2004, playing harsh youth crew Hardcore with some melodies thrown in not unlike GIA or Carry On. Youth crew anthems including intense singalongs, massive breakdowns and positive energy. 2009: AYS - the path of ages MCD (cobra x records).
State Of Affairs, Finally another band in the Netherlands that plays pure oldschool hardcore. That was the reaction after seeing State of Affairs perform. Despite all the great bands playing punk or trash influenced hardcore, it’s about time for a new Dutch band playing youth crew... think In My Eyes and Youth of Today. Featuring current and ex-members of Heartfelt, MM, Permanent Mark, Operation Phoenix and Press For Go. A four track demo on tape or cd is out now.
Drawing influences from bands such as Count Me Out and American Nightmare, Teenage Lust brings you fast paced hardcore with a raw and emotional edge.
