The Bloody Honkies, founded in a magic barn somewhere in the far east of Holland at the German border late 2005: Four soul brothers started playing. Loud, with a lot of love for the Holy trinity of rock n roll and a lack of respect for any convention. The debut album, The Gospel of The Bloody Honkies (Sonic Rendezvous/ Cargo Records), saw the light in October 2007 and received only good (and even raving!) reviews, got nominated for best Dutch album (2008) by the VPRO.
Hooghwater, makes a small tour with the Honkies, starting in their hometown. A fresh formation of psycho / stoner / rock, with Jozeph Meurs - Electric Guitars and Vocals, Chris Blankers - Electric Guitars, Ries Doms - Drums, Dave van Beek - Electric Bass. Influences are Captain Beyond, Love, Vanilla Fudge, The Wipers, Roky Erickson and the mighty Count Ossie and his Mystic Revelation.
