Christian Death, founded in 1979, LA, one of the top ten goth bands of all time, with classic deathrock anthems on several albums, surviving even more band changes. Moods swing from morbidity to love, confrontational, against organized religion or conventional morality, with an appetite for provocation.
Now still fronted by Valor, who has been the lead guitarist since the 2nd album "Catastrophe Ballet", 1984. Last European tour was with Cradle of Filth to promote the album Born Again Anti Christian in 2000, which features members of "Cradle of Filth" on several songs.
Current tour is for the long awaited 13th album, American Inquisition, 2007, which is a concept featuring the duet vocals of Valor and Maitri. Line-up: Valor - male vocals, guitars, violin, yaylitanbur, mandolin, keyboards, drums & percussion. Maitri - female vocals, bass, percussion. Nate Hassan - drums.
