Now here's a bunch of guys that do not want to conform to only one genre of music. They sail the electric oceans of distortion where ever the underground currents of inspiration will bring them. It could be Punk Rock just as easily as Hard Rock. Take a sidewind of Garage Rock and blow straight back to Glam Rock. Give them a couple of beers and they jam hard into Pub Rock. Now what do you call a band that's not afraid to tap into any kind of subcultural guitar phenomenon and blend it into one solid sound? That's right: SUBROCKERS! And it's SUB ROCK they play!

The Local Spastics is a young punk rock band that started around 2010. After a first demo that takes you back to the sound of seventies punk and reminds you of bands like The Dead Boys, The stooges and FEAR, the trio quickly built up quite a reputation with their aggressive live shows, politically incorrect behavior and sarcastic lyrics. Dozens of shows follow in and out of the Netherlands. Playing In squats and on festivals, with bands like Reagan Youth, Gewapend Beton and Aux Raus.
In 2011 the band released its first 7" onto Darcy-Trash Records. The single "Daily routine" is well received in the circuit. However, the band soon succumbs to conflicted interests and excessive alcohol and drug use.
After a pause of over a year singer/guitarist Sam and bassist Bo decided to put the band back together again around the end of 2012. This time with drummer Bram (ex-Malle Pietje and the Bimbo's). In a short time new songs were written and new shows were booked. With the new record coming up, the Local Spastics are back with a more mature sound and are ready to wreck and roll once again. You better get really for a spastic attack!
