Canadezen snappen wel wat punkrock is. En Nighttown ook! Op maandag 7 februari presenteert Rock Infuus daarom Million Dollar Marxists uit Ottawa, die een perfecte mix van New Bomb Turks en Riverboat Gamblers op je af vuren. Dit vijftal overtuigde Gearhead Records al van hun kunsten, nu ben jij aan de beurt!
De punkrocknroll van de Marxists ligt (net als Ottawa geografisch) tussen New Yorkse en Detroitse sounds in. Hun album Give It A Name maakte in hun thuisland al een ongelofelijke impact en is via Gearhead de wijde wereld ingeslingerd. De ietwat vreemde communisten zijn dus klaar om Europa te veroveren! Support act The Coffin Kids komt uit de regio, maar is on-Nederlands goed. Shit, smerige PR-praat is dat toch altijd! Toch hebben de Kids naast een waslijst Nederlandse shows al heel wat buiten Nederland gespeeld: België, Duitsland en binnenkort Spanje met bands als The Apers, Face Tomorrow en een tourtje met het Italiaanse The Popsters. Als het songbouwen in dit tempo doorgaat verwachten de heren dit jaar nog een volledig album af te leveren. Eerst speeeeeluh!
