Face Tommorow is een van die bands die waarschijnlijk binnen een half jaar echt gaat doorbreken...
" In the continuously changing world of music every now and then a band succeeds to distinguish itself from the ordinary. With their music and performance, FACE TOMORROW from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, show that heart and passion are still the foundation of real music. No gimmicks, no fashion, no multi-million dollar marketing plan, just the D.I.Y. way. Playing as much as possible (over 85 shows in 2001) and giving everything they got, whether it¹s at a small squat or in front of huge audiences at famous festivals as Lowlands, Metropolis etc.
In the current line-up FACE TOMORROW started playing shows in October 2000. Besides playing the Netherlands and Belgium on a steady basis, the band toured Germany, France and the Czech Republic and released a four song MCD in March 2001 entitled 'Live the Dream'. This self-released record was sold out (1000 copies) within a few months and got raving reviews in the mainstream as well as underground media. In November 2001 the band won the audience award at the GPNL, the biggest and most prestigious competition for newcoming bands in the Netherlands [www.groteprijs.nl] and released the 3-song CDep "Worth The Wait" for which they recently did a video-shoot.
In February 2002 FACE TOMORROW found a home at Reflections Records for the release of their debut full-length "For who you are", recorded at Excess Studios, Rotterdam. They released the album June 6th 2002 in their hometown Rotterdam in front of a sold out Waterfront. On the album you¹ll hear twelve perfectly structured songs teeming with a full, warm and almost hypnotizing atmosphere. FACE TOMORROW's intense guitar-driven sound ranges from utter silence to heavy dragging outbursts and aggressive noise blasts. Whilst musically encompassing all the best from emo, hardcore, pop, rock, punk and metal, the unprecedented passionate vocals are impossible to escape from. Contemplative lyrics dealing with all the features of the emotional spectrum wrapped up in memorable melodies and heart-broken explosions are sure to grab you by the throat and never let go. With themes as hope and dreams and an optimistic view on loss, regret, anger and frustration, "For who you are" is a sincere positive message in a negative world."
