The Fart Farmers stoppen

De Fart Farmers stoppen er mee. Maar ze zullen nog enkele shows spelen. Hun afscheidsshow is 3 juni in Steenwijk op het Punx.nl Punkfest 13 #10! It’s over. We were always a gay positive band, and were proud of the fact we’re gay. But since the recent publication of our interview in the Reload and the release of the Fart Farmers Vet Gay Birthday Calendar things get nasty and out of hand. People start harassing us, calling names etc. Arjan and Eric were molested by some members of a religious right wing party, Bruno was forced to move out of his house because of complains about continuous demonstrations of anti-gay skinheads, Ruud was fired because of his sexual orientation, and Stijn didn’t get laid anymore. All this became too much, we can’t even walk outside without security. Due these reasons we’re forced to stop, we don’t want to bring our family and friends in danger. We always believed in freedom of speech and sexual orientation, but reality looks kinda dark nowadays.Don’t stop the emancipation of gay punx and hardcorekids. Keep the gay spirit alive.
