Punx.nl Records

(English version below) In 2003 werd vanuit Punx.nl het platenlabel Pleurop Productions opgericht, waarmee in 2003, 2004 en 2005 de compilatiereeks ‘Pleur Op Plaat!’ werd uitgebracht. Dit waren verzamel cd’s waar op elk deel 24 tot 25 Nederlandse bands stonden, van beginnende bands tot gevestigde namen. Na het derde deel in 2005 belande Pleurop Productions in de ijskast. Inmiddels is er binnen Punx.nl veel veranderd, de website is de afgelopen jaren veranderd van een community tot een waar e-zine dat word gedreven door een heel nieuw team van enthousiaste medewerkers. De ambitie om ons ook weer te gaan richten op het uitbrengen van platen werd hier dan ook steeds groter door en in 2009, vier jaar na de laatste ‘Pleur Op! Plaat’, mogen we jullie met trots ons nieuwe label, simpelweg Punx.nl Records geheten, presenteren! Eerste release: Dead weights EP Herinner je 1998 nog toen je voor het eerst ‘Dead End Stories’ van One Man Army hoorde? Hetzelfde ga je ongetwijfeld krijgen bij de debuut e.p. van het Utrechtse The Dead Weights. Deze ‘Domcity Rockers’ brengen op hun titelloze debuut vier regelrechte punkrock krakers vol adreline, melodie en dual-vocals die wekenlang in je hoofd blijven zitten! Meanwhile a lot has changed within Punx.nl, the website which originally was more of a community turned into a full blown e-zine with a whole new team of enthousiastic editors behind it. The ambition to start putting out records again got a lot bigger again and now in 2009, four years after the last ‘Pleur Op! Plaat’, we proudly present our new label, simply called Punx.nl Records!
