Angel city outcasts - Deadrose junction

31 juli 2006
Born in the city of Angels these bunch of outcasts made their debut in 2004 with ‘Let it ride’, a mix of punkrock and rock ‘n roll that sounded original in a streetpunk scene that slowly died in it’s own unoriginality. ‘Deadrose junction’ is the band’s second full-cd and sounds totally different. Punkrock fans beware! Angel city outcasts is a band that is not afraid to use elements of their favourite music and throw it in a blender. I’m hearing AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, Guns ‘n roses, all kinds of streetpunk and a whole lot of nasty rock ‘n rollin’ guitars. In fact ‘Deadrose junction’ is food for Rock ‘n roll fans all over the globe. I wasn’t expecting this change and I gotta say it made the band better, although they use a lot of words in one song and could’ve worked to better choruses. There’s no real highlights on this album or a song that lifts it to great heights, the whole album just sounds good and solid and that’s what matters. People like you signed the band and I can definitely see why. Beer in y’r hand, airguitar in the other and off you go! Or how simple and cool rock ‘n roll still is.
