Second Base, a Belgian punkrocktrio hailing from Osschot Rock City, rehearsed for the first time in the winter of 2002. After some line-up shifts, they came to a definitve formation around august of the same year. Jeffrey would play the drums, Ruben the bass, and Stijn would play some guitartunes and sing some out-of-tune-lyrics.
They’d make music straight from the heart, first of all for themselves, secondly for anyone who’d listen without prejudice. Yet, the shows are where the band can show their passion for music 100%.
They play some kind of fast punkrock that packs a punch, and in the past, they did some shows with bands as Belvedere (Can), No Children (Sp), PO Box (Fr), Easyway (Por), and great Belgian bands like Flatcat, Five Days Off, Sixtoys and many others.
March 2004 comes with a self-titled demo with 6 songs on it. Except for the ones they kept for promo-purposes, no copies are left. Currently, the guys are working hard on some songs for an upcoming split-cd/mcd, which will be released in the summer of 2005 if no problems occur.
Second Base love to play and make music, and they enjoy every show they get to do with as much commitment and sincereness as possible… So, if you have an open spot on your stage, they’ll be glad to play anywhere, anytime! |
